Don't exactly know why, but we were not really looking forward to going to a museum in Shanghai. Boy, were WE WRONG! Although "small" by "The Louvre" standards, it is gorgeously displayed, visitor friendly, beautifully lit, and SURPRISE! - all the objects are identified in both Chinese and ENGLISH! (Our museums: take note.) An antique screen, with a soft celadon green background, was inlaid and ornamented in black and gold, with half hidden white lotus blossoms peeking out here and there. WE remember it on a 3" celery ball and wouldn't change the ball color ... but of course YOU could ... maybe on gold, white or black, but there would still be a touch of celadon green in the hanger.
