It doesn't take much -- perhaps the hot sun bouncing off a metal cleat on the side of a beached row boat; the stacked inner sole patterns in an old shoe shop; a wrought iron trivet; a sunset sinking in a troubled sea; a drop of dew on a smiling rhododendron -- just about ANYthing, and it will likely turn into the eventual beginning of a creation. Aye, there's the rub: the beginning -- that's the INSPIRATION. Once started, the design "takes over", or at least TRIES to. The "trick" is something akin to raising children: let them express themselves while keeping them in bounds. Not always easy, right? Our inspiration on a 3" red ball, but since there are no restrictive colors ON the ball, you can change the ball to any of our 20 alternate colors.
