Of course, there are a number of places in the world where one can gasp in awe at the overpowering splendor of fjords. We have been in silent wonder on several occasions, but never quite so forcefully as when we first gazed on those on the western coast of Alaska. The tilt of the sun, the passing cumulus clouds seemed to turn the crevices a deep blue, while one had to squint from the stark whiteness of the ice and snow. Our memory here on a 3" white ball, and I don't think I would change the ball color.
